Do you need to see a specialist but don’t have time to get to the doctors for a referral? We can help. With over 80 Australian-registered doctors available from 6am to midnight every day, we are able to help you get the health care you need quicker.

A referral is a written request from a doctor to another health professional asking them to diagnose you or treat you for a specific condition. It is also used to indicate that the consultation or test you are being referred should be covered by Medicare.

What types of referrals can I access online?

We can help you access a range of specialist referrals. Simply fill out a digital consultation form and our doctors will assess your eligibility. Some referrals can be approved online in minutes and sent to you via email or text, these include:

For other specialist referrals, you will need to request a telehealth consultation and speak to one of our doctors to discuss your specific needs. Our doctors are available 6am to midnight, seven days a week, every day of the year.

How long are referrals valid for?

Referrals supplied by a GP are valid for 12 months from the time the referral is given. The referral should cover all visits to the specialist for that condition within that time period. The doctor can also make the referral for longer, if they deem it necessary.
