Free telehealth services for the flood ravaged town of Eugowra

21/12/2022

Like all Australians we’ve been saddened by news of the recent flooding disaster in the small town of Eugowra in central NSW which claimed the lives of two community members and damaged 80% of homes and businesses.

After speaking with locals, there is a clear need for more healthcare services, with most doctors and chemists located a 30 kilometre drive out of town. Many residents will also be displaced indefinitely while the town rebuilds.

Helping the residents of Eugowra

We wanted to do something to help families in Eugowra, especially at Christmas, which is why we are offering free healthcare to residents of the town until the end of January 2023.

That means anyone in Eugowra who needs to speak to a doctor or get the medication they need, can do so free of charge. If you know of anyone in the area, please let them know.

“Customers living in regional Australia tell us that InstantScripts is a lifesaver for them, with very few doctors in their towns”, says Richard Skimin, Chief Operating Officer of InstantScripts. “It’s hoped this will alleviate the pressure on local doctors in and around Eugowra, by bolstering support services”.
